The first half of 2025 has brought uncertainty and volatility that make it more difficult for companies to plan and respond to changing conditions. To help finance teams overcome some of these challenges, NetSuite 2025 Release 2 brings new capabilities—think clearer visibility into your numbers, smarter monitoring to catch small issues before they become big problems, and smoother workflows that cut down on manual effort. New features in SaaS metrics, workforce management, financial close, and planning and budgeting help you stay ahead and make confident decisions.

Let’s look at what’s new for finance teams.

Industry innovations

2025.2 delivers new industry focused enhancements and capabilities to help organizations improve efficiency, gain real-time insights, and scale their operations.

  • Software and high-tech businesses
    • SaaS Metrics: NetSuite 2025.2 introduces new fields and records that allow companies to monitor transaction impact, quickly calculate SaaS metrics, and assess revenue health across all recurring revenue sources within NetSuite. Metrics are automatically linked to the SaaS 360 Dashboard and SuiteAnalytics for tailored reports to aid decision-making for executives, sales, and marketing teams alike.
    • Additionally, the new SaaS 360 Dashboard comes with industry-standard SaaS metrics, KPIs, and charts and graphs built in. Now teams can easily illustrate revenue health and highlight trends to simplify performance monitoring.
  • revenue metrics
  • Healthcare and other compliance-driven organizations
    • NetSuite Compliance 360 enhancements bring new features to simplify audit documentation and support user activity monitoring. The new AI assistant will help compliance officers summarize audit findings, generate recommendations, and suggest next steps.

In addition, a new capability is available to subscribe to automated email notifications on threshold events. This helps speed investigations and compliance team responses to support security and compliance objectives.

  • Project-based and multi-location companies
    • Two new specialized user roles provide a limited set of functionalities, tailored for specific roles, at a lower price per user. The new specialized project manager role allows a user to manage resources, projects, and time and expense in SuiteProjects. The new specialized site operator role is intended for individuals responsible for managing physical locations or sites within a larger, multi-site corporate structure, like franchises. It delivers the functionality needed for operational functions, like approving bills, reviewing POS sales data, and viewing and auditing inventory and pricing.

AI boosts planning and financial close processes

NetSuite Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) brings together planning, budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliation, financial close, and reporting processes from across the organization. EPM is aimed at helping businesses improve the speed and accuracy of their financial operations and gain the insights they need for decision-making.

With the 2025.2 release, two solutions within NetSuite EPM—Planning and Budgeting and Close Management and Consolidation—gain new AI capabilities that deliver added insights and efficiencies to your business.

  • NetSuite Planning and Budgeting
    • New multivariate forecasting within NetSuite Planning and Budgeting supports unified analysis of multiple related business drivers, such as sales, marketing spend, and inventory. The Multivariate Predictions feature uses machine learning models to evaluate data and select the most appropriate forecasting method, allowing for smarter, more data-driven forecasts for improved planning decisions. • AI-powered Intelligent Performance Management (IPM) is now accessible directly within Excel, Word, and PowerPoint through the Smart View for Office add-in. IPM automates data analysis using AI, helping you quickly uncover key trends, outliers, and drivers behind your numbers.
    • With an expanded global footprint, NetSuite Planning and Budgeting now supports 19 new languages, reducing barriers to adoption for multinational teams and empowering local stakeholders to work more efficiently in their preferred languages.
  • NetSuite Close Management and Consolidation
    • The new Job Analytics Insights feature in NetSuite Close Management and Consolidation leverages generative AI to deliver real-time, intelligent analysis of job performance during the financial close. Because the close process is made up of a series of jobs and tasks, like data imports, consolidations, and intercompany eliminations, when a job fails, finance teams often face the challenge of interpreting technical logs, slowing the close process. This new feature helps finance teams identify and resolve issues faster, saving time and resources. Read more about this here.
