NetSuite 2025 Release 1 contains a host of new features designed to help companies streamline their operations, including several connectors to quickly map data between NetSuite and other systems such as Salesforce and Shopify, more functionality to help field technicians, and tools to streamline manufacturing. All of these enhancements are focused on helping companies increase efficiency across sales, field services, warehouse management, and more.

More connections to external systems

NetSuite 2025.1 includes three new NetSuite Connectors designed to map data between NetSuite and third-party applications, eliminating a lot of manual data entry and batch uploads and the associated errors and delays. Most importantly, it gives you comprehensive, up-to-date data about your business from one central location.

The NetSuite Connector for Salesforce automatically shares data between NetSuite and Salesforce to reduce data silos and accelerate order-to-cash and revenue recognition processes. With data aligned in both applications, businesses can improve visibility into integral areas such as order records, customer insights, and financial data, including invoices, payments, and sales. Available in North America, NetSuite Connector for Salesforce is powered by Oracle Integration Cloud, which lets companies set up, manage, and monitor data flows via a self-serve interface in NetSuite.

NetSuite 2025.1 also includes the new NetSuite Connector for Shopify B2B, which maps data between NetSuite and the Shopify B2B ecommerce platform for more efficient ecommerce operations with fewer manual processes. The connector syncs data from the Shopify B2B ecommerce platform, including business customers, payment terms, and price lists, between Shopify and NetSuite. This keeps NetSuite as the trusted, single source for customer, catalog, inventory, sales, and fulfillment data, so employees don’t have to toggle between two applications to find up-to-date information.

Lastly, the NetSuite Connector for Microsoft Outlook syncs emails and calendar events with NetSuite CRM, helping sales teams keep their NetSuite records up to date. The integration tool automatically creates and updates leads in NetSuite CRM directly from Outlook.

Increased efficiency in field service management

NetSuite 2025.1 includes several new features in NetSuite Field Service Management aimed at building visibility and efficiency for field technicians and managers.

With this release, NetSuite Field Service Management allows for the automatic creation of time bills based on the captured start and end times of each job. This feature gives managers the ability to better track field service activity and reduce billing errors while also simplifying the work of technicians in the field.

Technicians now also can upload files in bulk to the mobile app as opposed to one at a time. The option to upload multiple pictures at once will save technicians time on tasks such as showing proof of work or repair completed.

New manufacturing tools to streamline production and tracking

NetSuite 2025.1 introduces two tools designed to make manufacturing processes run more smoothly. The new NetSuite Manufacturing Scheduler SuiteApp is tailored to help production managers and schedulers optimize production. It helps planners allocate production across multiple work centers while factoring in constraints such as the operation’s duration, dependency sequences, and the unique working calendar of the work center.

The latest release also includes the new Auto Serial Numbering SuiteApp, which automates serial number generation for manufacturers to improve traceability, simplify inventory management, and reduce manual errors. With the Auto Serial Numbering SuiteApp, you can define unique serial number formats for different item codes, so each item follows a specific numbering structure for identification and traceability. It will then assign serial numbers automatically at every stage, reducing manual errors and supporting compliance with industry standards.

Additional features to maximize efficiency

In addition, the 2025.1 release also brings new enhancements including:

  • Specialized user roles: NetSuite 2025.1 brings lower-priced licenses for users who only need to do specific records, reports, and features in NetSuite CRM, NetSuite Warehouse Management System (WMS), and NetSuite to view and approve.
  • Further capabilities around rates in NetSuite Ship Central: New features in NetSuite Ship Central include the ability to apply flat, discounted, and markup rates to the real-time shipping cost; shop for shipping rates while creating an order; and capture pallet weight while using the weighing scale.
  • Increased flexibility in NetSuite WMS: In the latest version of NetSuite WMS, you can break down larger pick tasks into smaller quantities, replenish multiple bins using a cart, import CSV files in bulk for bin transfer, and more to improve efficiency around picking, bin transfer, and bin replenishment. Items can also be received in any configured unit of measure during a single iteration of a tally scan.
  • Upgrades to NetSuite Supply Chain Management (SCM) Mobile app: You can now download files to device storage and issue prints offline from the device storage to the printer. You can also define buttons to be added to process configuration, as well as create or clone data tables from existing data tables for better visibility and readability.
  • Enhanced inspection standards and other updates in quality management: NetSuite Quality Management supports a new statistical sampling method that performs precise sampling inspections based on specific item, volume, and transaction combinations. An enhanced receipt return workflow automatically creates return authorizations for lot numbers and serial numbers that do not meet quality standards. Additionally NetSuite 2025.1 gives quality personnel increased visibility into inventory and operational details, as well as expiration dates.
  • Theme refresh for commerce solutions: NetSuite SuiteCommerce gets a facelift in the latest release, improving usability and interface inclusivity.
  • Enhancements to rebates calculations: Updates to the Rebates and Trade Promotions SuiteApp let companies calculate rebates on sales orders originating from the NetSuite SuiteCommerce platform and rebates based on data elements that are unique to individual operations. They also can define the general ledger at the agreement level as opposed to the rebate preferences level and recalculate rebates using custom scripts.
