Redefining what’s expected of business software
For decades, business professionals have come to expect outdated and clunky software at work. But smartphones and other experiences with amazing technology have increased users’ expectations. Leaders have also realized the systems their businesses use can impact employee productivity and morale. The Redwood design system seeks to deliver on these heightened expectations with a UX that looks and acts more like your favorite consumer apps. Redwood treats each interaction as an opportunity to delight users and change their perception of what’s possible with the software they use at work.
Consumer-grade experience
NetSuite is reimagining what business software looks like and how users experience it with Oracle’s Redwood design system. This award-winning user experience framework makes your everyday work in NetSuite easier and more enjoyable while reducing the learning curve for new hires.
Redwood is much more than an updated user interface. It’s a complete rethinking of how a business system can embrace better workflows, intelligence, and automation to help professionals access the insights they need and concentrate on the work that truly requires their input and judgement. And NetSuite customers can take their first steps in this journey with Redwood now.
One of the primary principles of Redwood is striving for users to not have to adapt to technology, which is very much what enterprise software has been historically, and instead look at things the other way around and have the technology adapt to our users.
A natural extension of your work

Customer-centric
We believe that developing outstanding technology solutions starts with a passion for problems, not solutions. That requires understanding the ultimate goal of our customers so we can rethink processes in a way that makes it easier for them to achieve their objective. Redwood has been built with this customer-first mindset, and NetSuite has leaned on continuous customer feedback and a deep exploration of how people interact with the system day to day to tailor this new UX to them. We’re also bringing Redwood to the tasks and pages that customers use the most first to maximize impact.

Embedding AI in your work
With Redwood, AI is not just bolted on to NetSuite but embedded in the application wherever it can provide the greatest value. AI is integrated in the workflows of different roles to help employees automate the tasks they don’t want or need to do, quickly find the information they need, and act on context-appropriate insights and suggestions. In some cases, Redwood will combine multiple types of AI, such as machine learning and generative AI, to deliver on this goal.
For example, an inventory forecast in the new UX may show AI-powered written insights calling out the details of potential shortages and suggesting potential fixes. Or it could use AI to find any transactions coming into NetSuite that don’t match typical patterns so finance can address exceptions as they happen rather than during the hectic month-end close.

One Oracle
NetSuite is benefiting from Oracle’s tremendous investment and yearslong commitment to rebuilding the user experience from the ground up and has collaborated closely with the Oracle team in developing and refining the Redwood system. NetSuite is working from this foundation to start molding the UX to meet the needs of its customers.
It's just this feeling that the system is much more intelligent, much more alive, much more timely at bringing these things to your attention and making the tasks either faster, easier, or automated.
Experience Redwood in NetSuite
Today, customers can get an initial feel for what the Redwood UX will look like in NetSuite and will continue to see visual design improvements and deeper enhancements throughout the system over time.
Fresh look and feel
The first thing customers will notice is a more modern look and feel. That includes new page design, icons, colors, and fonts across more than half of the pages in NetSuite, such as dashboards, lists, and forms for transactions, items, entities, and more. There are also more subtle adjustments, such as page headers that collapse when scrolling through a list to make more lines visible at once.
Together, these early changes improve readability and can make it easier to quickly find the information you’re looking for, saving your employees valuable time.
