Customer: 4AG Robotics

AI/Robotics Spotlight Award Winner: Beyond Cloud

4AG Robotics is transforming mushroom harvesting with innovative robotic solutions powered by AI and computer vision. These robotic solutions allow mushroom farms to automate today’s harvesting activities that are manual, tedious, and hindered by high employee turnover. 4AG Robotics' advanced robots are precise and efficient, capable of harvesting mushrooms at peak ripeness in smarter, longer and in reliable ways than human harvesters. The market leader in North America, Europe and Australia, 4AG Robotics is leading the way in modern mushroom farming and paving the path for a sustainable future in food production.

4AG wanted to eliminate the labor-intensive manual work in its own business required by its Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central system. The application lacked the scalability and flexibility that 4AG needed to grow, as well as purpose-built capabilities for manufacturing. 4AG planted seeds for success by selecting NetSuite ERP, with Beyond Cloud (opens in new tab) handling the implementation.

With NetSuite, 4AG has an integrated platform that consolidates financials, manufacturing, and inventory, bridging gaps between R&D and production. Beyond Cloud’s customized work orders, PDFs, and reports have simplified document management, while automated processes for manufacturing 4AG’s robots have increased operational efficiency. The new system has also improved core financial processes such as reporting and planning. 4AG now has a scalable system to support continued growth and make the company more appealing to external investors.

“We went with NetSuite because we wanted a robust ERP system that would help us manage our supply chain, our purchasing, and allow us to grow from a small startup into a global company,” 4AG VP of Finance and Business Operations Steven DeBoer says. "We set a pretty ambitious target for being deployed and ready to use, and we achieved that with Beyond Cloud—from kickoff to go-live was just over two months.”

Customer: LI-COR Environmental

Global Expansion Spotlight Award Winner: Bryant Park

LI-COR Environmental is a global leader in manufacturing instruments and software used to measure greenhouse gases and water in plants, soil, oceans, and the atmosphere across more than 100 countries. These tools are critical to studies ranging from climate change to cancer research. Founded in 1971, LI-COR has 330 employees across its headquarters in Nebraska and subsidiaries in Germany, the UK, and China.

The organization used three siloed ERPs—Sage 50, Sage 300, and Dataflo—across the US and Europe, which made consolidated reporting difficult. LI-COR faced challenges with multinational financial management and intercompany accounting that reduced visibility, sometimes led to inaccurate data, and delayed information delivery to leadership. LI-COR, backed by investment firm Battery Ventures, embarked on a consolidation journey with NetSuite and implementation partner Bryant Park (opens in new tab).

After moving its global operations to NetSuite ERP, LI-COR can now quickly and seamlessly consolidate global financial reports, unlocking new insights. This has helped drive new efficiencies across procurement approvals, intercompany transactions, and accounts payable, thanks to three-way matching that helps prevent erroneous payments. Customizations by Bryant Park also let LI-COR segment service revenue and product sales for the same item, eliminating manual workarounds and month-end reclassifications.

In a next step, LI-COR is migrating its Chinese subsidiary, launched in late 2023, onto NetSuite.

Customer: T-CETRA

Software and Technology Spotlight Award Winner: Myers-Holum

T-CETRA is a financial technology company recognized for harnessing cutting-edge proprietary software to open doors to underbanked markets through an expansive network of 10,000 retailers. Founded in 2007, the Ohio-based company helps sectors such as telecommunications, retail, healthcare, and transportation connect with 85 million underbanked individuals.

Beyond just enabling access, T-CETRA creates new opportunities by helping product and service providers break into untapped markets. Through its cloud-based processing portal, VidaPay, retailers can manage consumer accounts in real time, mitigating risk and increasing sales within a secure framework.

Running its business on QuickBooks for financials, Wasp for warehouse management, and VidaPay for CRM and reporting, T-CETRA faced the common challenge of multiple systems that didn’t communicate with one another. This made it difficult to assemble monthly financial reports and track important metrics around transactional data. Seeking a solution, the company wanted a platform that could connect its finance, supply chain, and warehouse functions and provide scalability for a large and ever-growing volume of transactions.

T-CETRA’s partnership with Myers-Holum (opens in new tab) and NetSuite ERP has provided the scalability and financial automation needed to handle high transaction volumes and complex data. Through native and custom reports, workbooks, and searches, T-CETRA can access data more quickly and accurately. Unlike with QuickBooks, which only allowed the company to view customers collectively (postpaid and prepaid), NetSuite lets it analyze customers individually. Additionally, T-CETRA creates purchase orders and utilizes supply and demand planning functions to keep the warehouse stocked with the right products at the right time. NetSuite, in conjunction with RF-SMART, has also enhanced warehouse operations, managing tasks such as bin transfers, picking, packing, shipping, and more.

With NetSuite, T-CETRA has a flexible cloud platform that can scale with the company in the near term and for years to come.

Customer: Resound Networks

Telecommunications Spotlight Award Winner: Plative

Resound Networks is a growing internet service provider (ISP) serving 2.5 million homes in more than 300 communities in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. Founded in 2015, Texas-based Resound is helping to bridge the digital divide for many rural communities and has plans to expand into additional states.

But Resound’s QuickBooks system stood in the way of future growth. Staff had to manually enter data into the accounting system from Sonar, an ISP-specific system for billing, revenue, and inventory, while tracking government grant spending and managing taxation and revenue recognition was complex and difficult. Plative (opens in new tab) implemented NetSuite and integrated the platform with Sonar to give Resound a unified platform that could handle financial management, CRM, inventory, order processing, procurement, and fixed assets.

With NetSuite, Resound can manage its financials more efficiently and free staff from labor-intensive manual data entry. At the same time, it can provide better customer experiences with consolidated account, order, support, and communication data. The company can track inventory such as equipment and materials in real time and confidently plan expansion projects across multiple states. Leadership has gained visibility into critical metrics to help inform strategic decisions, while Resound has reduced IT and business complexity by integrating various business functions in a single platform.

Customer: PCS Technical Services

Services Spotlight Award Winner: Vursor

PCS Technical Services is a staffing firm specializing in placing technical personnel in roles across engineering, scientific disciplines, IT, finance and administration, and light industry. Founded by manufacturing engineers in 1986, Cincinnati-based PCS is focused on finding its clients the “right person for the job.”

PCS needed the right platform for its own business. After running on Microsoft Dynamics GP for 15 years, PCS faced hurdles with functional limitations and upgrade challenges. The firm had to manually print and mail paper invoices, and commissions calculations required duplicate work across two systems. PCS also had no good way to assess the profitability of personnel placements. NetSuite, implemented by Vursor (opens in new tab), has proven to be the right platform to automate its invoicing, commissions, and project profitability processes, among others.

With NetSuite, PCS completes its month-end reporting 60% faster and saves even more time with automated invoicing. Vursor customizations let PCS workers monitor weekly commissions, and the company can track placement profitability through NetSuite’s project accounting capabilities.

Purpose-built dashboards supply leadership with actionable insights, and the company now has the scalability it needs for expansion into Canada and the UK.

“We asked Vursor if the commissions solution was doable, and they had a scalable proof-of-concept solution documented for us within two days,” PCS President Joel Heckert says. “We could not have done this without our NetSuite and Vursor partnerships.”
