About

Matt Crespi is a researcher focused on helping people coordinate and collaborate better, with a particular focus on innovation, policy and organizational behavior.

Experience

Matt is currently a Research Fellow at the Seldin / Haring-Smith Foundation. In addition, he continues to work with CMU, where he’s been an adjunct professor, a research fellow and co-founder of the Corporate Startup Lab, a group dedicated to learning and teaching how people in large organizations can adapt and implement entrepreneurial best practices for their own innovation efforts. Matt also consults for businesses of all sizes on analytics and internal innovation. Earlier, he worked for Public Financial Management Group, a Philadelphia-based public finance advisory firm, helping state and local governments make better financial decisions around debt issuance, investing and budget management.

Education

Matt earned his Masters and PhD in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University’s (opens in new tab) Heinz College and his BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s (opens in new tab) Wharton School.
