Bill Walton knows what it feels like to hit rock bottom.

The former NBA player suffered from chronic pain throughout his entire career, which not only led to his early retirement from basketball but caused him severe depression—so much so, he almost gave up on himself and his life.

Watch the video above to hear what Walton advises on how to get up when you’re down, and why your network is more important than ever during those difficult times.
