Doing so requires accurate, accessible information and applications that can help these businesses run their operations better through automation and intelligent tools that allow for more precise business and project planning.
Oracle NetSuite has built SuiteProjects Pro, formerly called OpenAir, as an advanced professional services automation (PSA) software designed to meet more complex business needs with deeper automation throughout the entire project delivery lifecycle. SuiteProjects Pro 2025.1 is the first release under the SuiteProjects Pro brand first announced at SuiteWorld 2024 and signals NetSuite’s continued commitment to provide a solution that expands upon project management capabilities embedded in NetSuite ERP.
SuiteProjects Pro 2025 Release 1 builds on the Oracle Redwood user experience enhancements from previous releases with homepage charts, enhanced global search, and to-do lists in the mobile app. The 2025.1 release also launches a collaboration tool to help project contributors work better together and tighter integration with Oracle Analytics Cloud.
Homepage enhances project visibility
This release improves upon the new, redesigned homepage in the previous release. In SuiteProjects Pro 2025.1, you can now add charts to the homepage to see even more key insights right when you log in. Project leaders can choose from various chart types—pie, vertical bar, line, and area—to display project data at a glance on their homepage. These charts could be used to track actual work or billing forecasts over time, giving you a big-picture view of how projects are performing.
Creating a chart portlet is simple: from the homepage, click personalized view, edit primary or secondary content regions, and add the chart portlet. From there, you can set up a chart by filling out the chart type, data source (or report) and the category and values. Stay tuned for future releases where additional chart types will be available.
Global search and project discussions help boost productivity
Many services businesses have already benefited from the new and improved global search functionality launched in SuiteProjects Pro 2024.2, which provides faster answers and saves project managers and consultants critical time that they can put toward delivering exceptional customer experiences. In SuiteProjects Pro 2025.1, you can now search using project phase, tasks, milestones, bookings, expense reports, receipts, workspaces, and workspace documents. You can also now view suggested navigation items side-by-side with your user-defined navigation shortcuts from within the global search bar.
To further increase collaboration between users within Suite Projects Pro, 2025.1 debuts a new collaboration tool to centralize discussion between teams and prevent miscommunication and confusion. This can make it easier for employees across functions to work together and deliver better results because they can easily monitor conversations and decisions. With the new project discussion feature, you can now:
- Organize and track all messages from all users about a specific project in one project discussion board.
- Start and participate in conversations about project delivery with a few simple clicks.
- Access project discussions, read, and post messages from any page in SuiteProjects Pro.
- Keep project discussions stored securely within SuiteProjects Pro for audit purposes and lessons learned discussions.
Improved access to analytics
SuiteProjects Pro 25.1 includes a new section under the reports tab called “Analytics” where you can now access your SuiteProjects Pro data in Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC). With this release, you can now easily publish data utilizing the SuiteProjects Pro BI Connector and access your published reports through the OAC OData Connection. To do this, navigate to the “Publish data form,” which is a list view of reports that publish to the SuiteProjects Pro BI Connector. From this list view, you can easily publish a new report or republish an existing report for fresh data across your platform. To activate the Report Analytics feature in the Reports tab of SuiteProjects Pro, please reach out to your support team.
Stay in the know while on the go
The latest release of SuiteProjects Pro also brings a new version of the SuiteProjects Pro mobile app (version 5.3). With the latest mobile app, get an up-to-date reminder of what you need to do from not only the SuiteProjects Pro app dashboard but also from the home screen of your mobile device with a new iOS widget. The dashboard and home-screen widgets reflect your to-do list in your SuiteProjects Pro account, automatically updating when that list changes, so you don’t miss any timesheets or expense reports you need to approve or submit for approval.
