For some people, fitness is the end all, be all. They set early morning alarms, leverage apps and technology to track their trainings, and log more miles running in a month than a New York City taxi. Fitness ultimately becomes a lifestyle. In NetSuite Philippines, a group of individuals who practice this lifestyle established a club in February, 2016. Known as the SuiteRunners, this organization aims to bind employees who have a passion for fitness, with running at heart, and to promote a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

SuiteRunners holds a regular meeting (a run) every week and partners with local event organizers on a quarterly basis.

“Every Wednesday, we hold our afternoon training in Ayala Triangle. We also join some organized running events every quarter,” said Edgardo Sagutin Jr., SuiteRunners Club President and PS PMO Analyst at NetSuite. “For example, in Q3, we joined the last leg of the On Your Mark (OYM) trilogy run in SM Mall of Asia.”

“Last month, we launched the SuiteRunners Leaderboard, which provides an avenue for a friendly running competition,” Sagutin added. “The person with the highest distance covered by the end of month will join our virtual winners’ podium and get a prize.”

Riza Agustin, SuiteRunners Club’s Vice President and Project Manager at NetSuite shared her life changing experience after joining the running group.

“With a sedentary job, being fit is close to impossible,” she said. “Being a part of the SuiteRunners Club has inspired me more to go out and run on a regular basis. To top it all, I get to run with some of the most awesome people at NetSuite. What a treat!”

NetSuite has always believed that having a balanced and healthy lifestyle is very important to produce quality work output. The SuiteRunners Club is just one example of how the company is providing that platform for the employees in Manila while making sure that they are having a great time.
