Nonprofit Momentum Continues at SuiteWorld 2017

It is no secret that nonprofit business models are constantly changing. While the innovation is exciting, it’s also causing sector complexities to grow like weeds. The nonprofits that thrive are embracing this next wave of change, instead of shying away.

Due to the agility of its software – NetSuite’s nonprofit customer base(opens in new tab) is growing exponentially, thus (to no surprise) pushing an increased industry presence at our upcoming user conference, SuiteWorld. SuiteWorld gives customers the unique opportunity to network with each other and truly tap into the power of the NetSuite nonprofit ecosystem – and this year’s conference will provide nonprofit organizations with more content targeted toward their specific needs than ever before.

A true pillar of the week’s activities is the Nonprofit Industry Keynote: “The Next Nirvana: Accelerate Your Nonprofit Mission.” Being that this year marks only our 2nd Nonprofit Keynote in SuiteWorld history, there are big shoes to fill from last year’s presentation(opens in new tab) featuring Found Animals(opens in new tab) and Helen Keller International(opens in new tab).

Lucky for us (and more importantly, you) our dedicated industry team works tirelessly on product development for our customers – giving us exciting announcements to make around leading practices and functionality. During the keynote, representatives from Brightpoint Health(opens in new tab) and Rise Against Hunger(opens in new tab) will join David Geilhufe, Senior Director NetSuite Corporate Citizenship and other members of our nonprofit team on stage to discuss the trends in the sector, and how NetSuite acts as a partner to address challenges and fuel nonprofits to further their mission and reach.

In addition to the keynote, there will be numerous sessions of particular value to nonprofit attendees. These include:

This year’s conference features over 175 sessions from which you will be able to create your own, unique schedule catered to both needs and interests alike. These sessions include speakers from a combination of NetSuite leaders, and customers to share their real-life experiences with NetSuite.

Aside from these educational opportunities, the nonprofit team is also offering the chance to help a few customers build momentum for their causes at SuiteWorld.

For instance, this year’s conference will feature our 4th annual Hackathon 4Good(opens in new tab). This event brings together close to 100 developers, customers, partners and employees to team up and develop innovative prototypes to address the challenges posed by our charity partner, Brightpoint Health. At the end of the day, teams will have the opportunity to present their idea to a panel of judges. Winning teams receive prizes and bragging rights!

All attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a volunteer activity with Resource Area for Teachers (RAFT)(opens in new tab), a NetSuite nonprofit partner dedicated to inspiring, engaging and educating children through the power of hands-on learning. Volunteers will take a short break from their busy conference schedule to pack activity kits that will be donated to Bay Area organizations educating children and youth.

The nonprofit vertical holds a unique position at NetSuite, and we pride ourselves on using this event to bring organizations of all kinds together to network, share knowledge and make an impact together.
