The excitement is building here at NetSuite with a week to go for IRCE 2010 (opens in new tab). This event brings together 6000+ e-retailers and features 90+ sessions on various e-commerce trends. It will be held from June 8-11 at the McCormick Place in Chicago.
This year's theme is "Time To Reboot: Recharging Your E-Commerce Business".
Couldnt agree more with the theme as forecasts are indicating a return to double digit growth in US online retail sales for 2009 and similar growth in EU-17 as well. Social and mobile will play a key part in this growth as online shoppers look more to their online networks in making shopping decisions and shop on the go.
We also believe that as part of this recharging more online businesses will look at their eCommerce infrastructure and technology and evaluate it as a platform that will not just help deliver site or store content but also deliver a more complete customer experience that includes marketing, customer service, business intelligence, inventory and order management among other things.
