With 2015 coming to an end, I’m compelled to look back upon our key milestones and successes as we begin planning for what’s ahead.
As a member of NetSuite’s Education Services team for over eight years, I have worked on countless training projects. This year was particularly special as we were able to support our customers in new and innovative ways:
- Hundreds of users learned to do more with NetSuite via custom and public training courses.
- Over 300 NetSuite users took in-depth, hands-on training during SuiteWorld 2015 Pre-Event Training.
- Over 1,800 customers and partners joined the ranks of certified users via the NetSuite Certification program.
- Multiple new offerings such as Training Packages and the Self-Study Annual Pass made it easier for customers to buy and take training.
Part of maintaining this momentum is to continue to develop new training courses to help our customers get the most value from NetSuite. Two of the courses we released in 2015 that I’m most excited about were specifically designed to help administrators and finance and accounting users become more proficient with NetSuite.
At SuiteWorld 2015 in May, we introduced NetSuite: Administrator Fundamentals. This course is designed for both newly-hired administrators who need to learn how to manage an existing NetSuite account and self-taught administrators who would like formal training on core tasks.
During this two-day course, attendees gain insight into the "day in the life" of a NetSuite Administrator by learning how to tailor, maintain and optimize NetSuite for their users' needs. Tasks taught include creating custom roles to enforce security, using NetSuite customization tools to add fields, control views, and create new tables, and importing data into NetSuite. By the end of the course, participants will be able to manage their NetSuite accounts like pros!
In November, we released NetSuite: Finance Fundamentals for finance professionals who are using NetSuite for the first time. We had seen huge demand for this training on an individual basis from our customers, so we packaged it into a two-day offering to provide new users everything they need to become experts on key accounting functions.
In this course, users explore NetSuite’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) features and capabilities to control expenses, accelerate financial close, and ensure real-time visibility into financial performance, including how to tailor Home Dashboards to quickly access business intelligence and manage activities.
By continuing to add new training resources, new courses, and engaging with our customers at every skill level, we will continue to educate and inspire our NetSuite user base, empowering them to bring expertise to their career and employer, setting countless new milestones along the way.
