Customer: Monolith Brands

Product Spotlight Award Winner: Myers-Holum

NetSuite Product: NetSuite Analytics Warehouse

Founded in 2020, Monolith is a rapidly growing merchant of pet, baby, parenting, and playtime products with a portfolio of eight ecommerce brands selling through Amazon and Shopify marketplaces. But business management wasn’t all fun and games for the New York City-based startup with the limitations of an entry-level QuickBooks platform.

QuickBooks struggled to keep up with high transaction volumes, and data was not timely, reliable, or centralized in one location. With poor efficiency and visibility posing risks to its business, Monolith turned to Myers-Holum (opens in new tab) to implement SuiteSuccess Premium for apparel, footwear, and accessories companies and NetSuite OneWorld. It also implemented NetSuite Analytics Warehouse and Myers-Holum's Accounting Class Engine (ACE), which pulls data from Amazon Seller Central and Shopify. This data is then summarized and fed into NetSuite as transactions. Leveraging the power of NetSuite ERP and NetSuite Analytics Warehouse, the system efficiently aggregates, posts, and reconciles high-volume transactional data.

With Myers-Holum’s ACE, detailed transaction records are stored in NetSuite Analytics Warehouse, while summaries are posted to NetSuite ERP with drill-down detail into the warehouse. Monolith has improved efficiency by reducing transaction events in NetSuite ERP from 10,000 a day to 100, and also enjoys better collaboration across teams, operational agility, and insights for informed decision-making.

"Partnering with NetSuite and Myers-Holum has been instrumental in our journey towards operational excellence," said Jason Conrow, integrations manager at Monolith. “The comprehensive solutions implemented have not only addressed our immediate challenges but have also positioned us for future growth.”

Customer: ProVeyance Group

Product Spotlight Award Winner: Bryant Park Consulting

NetSuite Product: NetSuite CPQ

ProVeyance Group helps customers smoothly handle packages and materials with conveyor equipment, steel rollers, and roller assemblies manufactured and sold through two subsidiaries, Woodsage and Ashland. Yet ProVeyance was not handling one aspect of the business smoothly—the creation of customer quotes for customized products.

Manual estimating and quoting processes could take days. Customers waited while ProVeyance sales reps and engineers used spreadsheets to piece together complex quotes for custom products that could involve multiple components and specific manufacturing processes. An existing NetSuite customer, ProVeyance engaged Bryant Park Consulting (opens in new tab) to implement NetSuite CPQ.

With NetSuite CPQ and Bryant Park, quotes that took days are now done in minutes, improving customer satisfaction and internal efficiency. Bryant Park incorporated routing steps, dynamic bills of materials, cost modeling, and several functional modes that give ProVeyance users flexibility and control. Users also benefit with easy access to all needed data, including item records, manufacturing and cost templates, and work centers in a centralized environment.

“Overall, NetSuite CPQ has been a big help for our quoting team,” said Mark Brown, project engineer at Woodsage. “It has also freed up engineering quite a bit, so it can focus on more complex quotes and strategic opportunities.”

Customer: Precision BioSciences

Product Spotlight Award Winner: Peloton Consulting Group

NetSuite Product: NetSuite Planning and Budgeting

Precision BioSciences is an advanced gene editing company dedicated to improving life with its novel and proprietary ARCUS genome editing platform. The ARCUS platform is being used to develop in vivo gene editing therapies for genetic and infectious diseases, including chronic hepatitis B and mitochondrial diseases. Founded in 2006 and headquartered in North Carolina, the company is publicly traded (Nasdaq: DTIL).

Precision identified a pain point with the integration between its planning and budgeting software, Workday Adaptive Planning, and NetSuite, its ERP system. In particular, Workday did not provide adequate cash-basis reporting and forecasting for a pre-commercial stage life science company. The company transitioned from Workday to NetSuite Planning and Budgeting in expectation of a better integration between NetSuite ERP and the planning and budgeting module.

With implementation and customizations by Peloton Consulting Group (opens in new tab), Precision has reduced the time and support needed for planning and budgeting. Peloton customizations equipped Precision with better information flow between its accrual-basis financial reporting and cash-basis budgeting and forecasting which has improved bandwidth and resource allocation to the finance department.

Customer: Grandwest Enterprises

Product Spotlight Award Winner: 8Quanta

NetSuite Product: NetSuite SuiteCommerce

Grandwest Enterprises is a wholesale distributor and retailer of automotive and truck accessories based in western Canada, offering thousands of products through both online and physical channels. Dedication to customer service, quality, and reliability has helped Grandwest grow exponentially since its founding in 1980.

To modernize back-office functions and ecommerce sales, Grandwest moved from a system they outgrew to NetSuite, including NetSuite SuiteCommerce for ecommerce.

With SuiteCommerce and 8Quanta optimizations, website performance has improved and filtering functions are faster. Usage of both Grandwest's B2B site and a B2C retail site called Tiger Automotive has improved, and Grandwest is expecting increased revenue through better customer experiences. In addition, Grandwest is saving time through automating previously manual return processes, streamlining accounts receivable, and taking advantage of new supply and demand forecasting capabilities.
