A software company tracks recurring revenue differently than a manufacturer manages supply planning. A restaurant group needs different operational controls than a field service team. NetSuite 2026.2 adds new capabilities designed for those industry-specific needs, with updates across software, consumer goods, industrial & equipment, restaurants, and healthcare. The latest release gives organizations new ways to analyze revenue, manage pricing and costing, improve planning and quality control, connect restaurant operations, and view healthcare financial performance.

Software companies get clearer subscription and renewal insights

NetSuite 2026.2 adds new tools for software companies managing recurring revenue, usage billing, and renewal risk.

  • In NetSuite Subscription Metrics, a new committed revenue toggle lets finance and revenue teams shift dashboard views from actuals to committed monthly recurring revenue (CMRR) or committed annual recurring revenue (CARR). This gives teams a clearer view of future revenue without building separate spreadsheet models. Expanded KPI drilldown pages also provide more detail on metrics such as growth, net revenue retention, churn, customer acquisition cost, and lifetime value. AI-generated summaries highlight key trends and drivers so teams can understand what is changing and why.

  • NetSuite SuiteBilling adds Externally Rated Usage Billing, which brings precalculated usage charges from third-party systems into billing and revenue workflows. SuiteBilling can use those charges for recurring billing and pass the same values to NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management for revenue allocation and recognition.

  • To help teams focus retention work, Customer Subscription Health Score on the customer record predicts whether a customer may churn in the next 30 or 90 days. The new Renewal and Retention Workspace brings upcoming and overdue renewals, customer health, billing, subscription, and risk context into one view so teams can prioritize follow-up by urgency, value, and renewal risk.

Healthcare organizations get a clearer financial view

NetSuite 2026.2 delivers purpose-built improvements for healthcare organizations. The new healthcare dashboard gives finance and operations leaders financial and operational visibility designed specifically for patient-centered care settings, replacing the custom reports clinic groups piece together today. This release also strengthens compliance coverage. Compliance 360 gains enhancements to audit workflows, role-based access, and compliance dashboards and KPIs.

Consumer goods and industrial & equipment companies gain more control over pricing, costing, and planning

Consumer goods and industrial & equipment companies face constant pressure to protect margins, respond to demand shifts, and keep operations moving. NetSuite 2026.2 provides new capabilities across pricing, costing, planning, and quality management. In pricing, expanded AI-generated narrative insights help more teams understand pricing context directly in their workflow, reducing the manual effort required to interpret pricing data across broader product catalogs.

  • NetSuite Advanced Pricing provides an enhanced price level relationship view that shows how price levels connect to customers, items, and price rules, helping teams review and validate configurations before they affect transactions. Teams can also add multiple items and customers to price rules in bulk and use item collections to apply pricing changes to reusable product groups. For Consumer Goods brands managing large SKU counts, seasonal updates, and promotional pricing, these capabilities reduce item-by-item maintenance and keep more pricing work inside NetSuite instead of offline spreadsheets.

Sales orders now include pricing context, giving sales teams a clearer explanation of how a price was derived. New pricing analytics workbooks connect price rules, price levels, item history, and sales outcomes, giving leaders a clearer view of pricing performance over time. AI pricing narrative insights now cover more sellable item types, helping pricing teams interpret pricing data and understand recommended or recent changes. It saves pricing teams from reverse-engineering the numbers to work out what changed. Together, these updates improve pricing transparency from setup through transaction review and reporting.

  • For costing, the initialized average cost feature gives inventory and costing teams a cleaner way to set average cost for item-location combinations before transactional history exists. Teams can enter an initial average cost without creating a dummy transaction, helping cost accountants and inventory managers set meaningful component costs before the first purchase or inventory transaction. Manufacturers launching a new product can set a sensible cost up front, so early margins are not skewed by the first few transactions.

  • Demand and Supply Pegging Analysis SuiteAnalytics workbooks give planners a faster way to see demand and supply relationships. The workbooks expose top-level demand, demand type, and earliest required-by date, helping planners prioritize constrained materials or capacity and trace dependencies across planning levels. If a key material slips, planners can trace which customer orders are affected and reshuffle before a delivery date is missed.

  • NetSuite Quality Management also adds enhancements for nonconformance register (NCR) and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Teams can report and track nonconformances, perform root cause analysis, start CAPA workflows, assign owners and due dates, monitor status, and maintain audit trails from inspection failure through closure. This matters most to regulated manufacturers in industrial & equipment, aerospace, medical devices, and defense, where quality records have to hold up in an audit and where scrap, rework, and warranty claims come straight off the margin.

Restaurants get connected operations from kitchen to back office

Restaurants often manage purchasing, inventory, recipes, labor, cash, and location performance across spreadsheets, POS reports, supplier portals, and standalone systems. The Oracle NetSuite Restaurant Operations SuiteApp brings together procurement, inventory management, recipe management, production planning, cash management, scheduling, and POS integrations in NetSuite.

Restaurants can use projected sales and current inventory to generate prep needs, connect recipes to ingredient usage and menu costing, flag low or expiring stock, compare supplier pricing, and roll up performance across locations. The SuiteApp gives restaurant managers a clearer view of food costs, waste, staffing needs, supplier activity, and location performance.

AI helps optimize field operations

NetSuite Field Service Management now includes enhanced technician notes, bringing AI-assisted text enhancement to the mobile app. Technicians write notes quickly between jobs, so they can be incomplete or hard for billing and support teams to use. The feature cleans up spelling, grammar, and phrasing while preserving the original meaning. For industrial & equipment companies, the note is the asset's service history, so clean documentation clears warranty and contract billing without dispatchers chasing clarification. For construction and energy companies, field notes feed milestone billing and inspections, letting project managers close out and bill work faster. For industries, like healthcare, that service a lot of equipment, the feature improves legibility without altering what the technician recorded, keeping maintenance logs consistent for audit trails.

Support teams can resolve similar cases faster

NetSuite 2026.2 adds Similar Cases Recommendations, an AI-assisted CRM feature for high-volume support teams. It identifies previously resolved cases that are semantically similar to the one a rep is working on and surfaces them in Narrative Insights, with context like subject, customer name, and confidence score. Reps reuse those resolutions to respond faster and handle escalations more consistently.

For software and high tech companies, technical tickets repeat across customers, so a resolved case is often the exact fix for today's, letting reps clear known issues fast and escalate only the genuinely new ones. For industrial & equipment companies, prior resolutions capture the diagnostic path, shortening time-to-answer and feeding cleaner support-to-field handoffs.
