Liberty Bottleworks is a perfect example of the resurgence in American manufacturing. Founded in 2010, the company was built by two outdoor industry veterans with nothing but a dream, hard work, ingenuity, and a commitment to eco-responsibility and American manufacturing.
Today, Liberty Bottleworks(opens in new tab) manufactures the only American-made metal water bottle, using 100 percent recycled aluminum and materials free of the hazardous chemical BPA. And Liberty cranks out bottles at scale – more than 1 million in 2014 from its factory outside Yakima, Wash., a total that’s soared four-fold in the last three years.
Preparing for growth from the outset, Liberty launched its business on NetSuite to manage its core business, including ERP/financials, manufacturing, inventory and order management(opens in new tab), CRM(opens in new tab) and ecommerce(opens in new tab).
After focusing for the first several years on the business launch and manufacturing, in 2014 Liberty turned its attention to significantly expanding its sales channels, which included the launch of a new direct-to-consumer ecommerce website. The new site, built on SuiteCommerce Advanced, offers consumers a more engaging experience and better showcases its brand and products. As a result, Liberty has increased web traffic and sales volume, along with a decrease in cart abandonment.
