NetSuite continues to claim leadership in independent analyst reports across a wide variety of software categories. In the latest, the IDC MarketScape has named NetSuite a leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide SaaS and Cloud-Enabled PSA ERP Applications 2017 Vendor Assessment (Doc #US42215717, September 2017).
That follows on being named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide SaaS and Cloud-Enabled Finance and Accounting Applications(opens in new tab) 2017 Vendor Assessment (doc # US42218017, September 2017), a Leader in G2Crowd’s Accounting Report(opens in new tab), a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide SaaS and Cloud-Enabled Midmarket ERP Applications 2017 Vendor Assessment(opens in new tab) (Doc #US42216017, September 2017) and a leader in the Forrester Wave for B2B Commerce Suites for Midsized Organizations(opens in new tab).
The IDC MarketScape notes that a growing number of companies are offering services across areas like consulting, engineering, legal, marketing and more. But as these businesses expand into services, they need an ERP system(opens in new tab) that can support and automate service delivery.
“As PSA ERP has increased in popularity, so too has the requirement for companies to have ERP capable for both services and products. If you are a product-centric business and have a services arm, you will want to consider software vendor packages that can handle both PSA and general ERP for your particular industry (manufacturing, retail, government, etc.),” the IDC MarketScape report noted.
NetSuite was one of 12 SaaS and cloud-enabled PSA ERP software(opens in new tab) vendors evaluated based on a wide range of criteria that included customer satisfaction, financial stability, functionality, range of services, SaaS capabilities and total cost of ownership.
“NetSuite holds an edge over its competitors for having all ERP modules running on a single database and single code base,” the report states. “This is an attribute that few other vendors in the PSA ERP market are currently providing in the cloud. This attribute provides quicker access to data relative to other solutions and easier and relatively seamless updates.”
