We are excited to share that the SuiteCommerce developer community website, developers.suitecommerce.com(opens in new tab), is now live!
With the launch of our developer community website, we hope to grow a thriving developer community that fosters interaction and collaboration among our customers, partners and NetSuite’s ecommerce(opens in new tab) team. At the same time, we want to offer a one-stop shop for technical advice and answers throughout the SuiteCommerce design and development journey.
The website brings together existing technical resources for SuiteCommerce developers and designers, such as product documentation and training, with a host of advanced tools. For example, the site has a section titled “Articles,” which explains deep-dive topics and provides snippets of code that extend what’s already available in our product documentation. Current topics include debugging code, developing your first custom SuiteCommerce Advanced module and ways to troubleshoot SuiteCommerce in the browser.
Developers and designers will also find tips about how to improve performance and can view a gallery of websites powered by SuiteCommerce. The website examples show customers and partners what’s possible when incorporating rich functionality and appealing graphics, images and videos. There’s also a design guide, which encourages partners and developers to follow a set of principles focused on how to make best use of SuiteCommerce.
We have a lot more planned for the site and will update you on those future enhancements.
In the end, we want to provide our developer and design community with information, tips and tools as they journey through development, production and beyond. Most importantly, we want to foster a developer community to share new and helpful ideas so our customers and partners realize their goals of producing a great commerce experience for their customers.
