There’s no denying the importance of data in today’s business environment. Shifting costs, volatile economic conditions, and intense competition necessitate data-driven insights. Yet, many companies encounter roadblocks when it comes to making data usable. Large amounts of data, the inability to integrate multiple sources, and issues around quality all make it difficult to pull meaningful insights.

Enter NetSuite Analytics Warehouse. Since its release, customers have embraced the simplified, cloud-based data management platform to consolidate their data from NetSuite and numerous other business applications. With each employee equipped with current and consistent data, companies have been able to gain valuable insights into integral parts of the business to drive efficiencies in time and cost – as well as make smart decisions to move the business forward.

NetSuite 2023 Release 2 looks to capitalize on those benefits with new and improved features delivering more efficient and deeper access to role-based business insights, allowing for better decision-making at all levels.

Gain Business Visibility With More Prebuilt Metrics

With the latest release, customers receive more ready-to-use metrics, giving faster access to insights by eliminating the need to manually join datasets and apply complex calculations. The collection of 57 horizontal and vertical metrics covers every subject area, including:

  • Project management metrics for better resource time tracking and utilization rates, like planned hours and labor costs.
  • Sales wave metrics, like accounting book credit amount and pick action quantity, as well as new subscription metrics, like total contract value and total number of subscriptions.
  • Financial metrics to enhance planning, like revenue arrangement and revenue commitment.

Budget analysisis also enhanced with new key metrics and visualizations, saving time from manually joining financial data from various operations systems. Instead, employees can focus on creating and analyzing budget scenarios for improved planning. And, unlike spreadsheets, data is auto refreshed via the managed pipeline to always ensure up-to-date information.

Navigate Your Dashboard, User Access Rights, and Port Bundled Objects With Ease

The new dashboard layout creates a more intuitive user experience to quickly access key metrics and build analyses for sharing across the organization. The financials dashboard is of particular note with new visualizations on DSO/DPO trends and cash forecasts. NetSuite 2023.2 makes dashboard customization a breeze as well. With one click, users can migrate a new or updated dashboard built in QA or development straight into production.

Dashboards aren’t the only ones getting a simplicity upgrade. The latest release cuts out extra steps around assigning user access rights as well. Apply Administrator, Author and Viewer roles using the new NetSuite Analytics Warehouse User Management screen within NetSuite. No need to toggle between the two systems, as in the past release.

Custom objects can now be bundled when porting between instances, like sandbox to production environment – a capability previously only available to standard objects. With many customers using custom objects, this ensures complete data for analysis.

Seamlessly Sync Data and Keep it Current

Reporting and decision-making with current data is essential in today’s fast-paced environment, which can necessitate a data refresh more than the standard once-a-day cadence. NetSuite 2023.2 gives customers greater flexibility in scheduling the frequency and time of refreshes to their financial and sales data through the Pipeline Settings menu.
