Founded in 2005 by former AOL executive, Kara Goldin, hint, inc. is a San Francisco-based beverage company, producing fruit-enhanced waters without artificial sweeteners.
Kara teamed up with her husband and current Chief Operating Officer, Theo Goldin, to grow Hint from their kitchen into the multimillion-dollar, nationwide company it is today. In fact, Hint is now one of the largest independent, non-alcoholic beverage distributors in the nation.
However, in order to scale as successfully as it has, the company needed business systems and processes that could compete with the behemoths in the industry. Among the various measures to support Hint’s rapid growth, Kara and Theo sought out a system to manage and track parts and finished goods inventories from start to finish across various locations. Of course, all of this was part of their core goal: maintaining customer satisfaction, no matter when or where the customer purchased Hint.
Needless to say, the Goldins quickly realized utilizing beginner systems like QuickBooks wasn’t going to get them to the level they strived to reach.
Watch the video above to find out why the Goldins ultimately chose NetSuite to scale their critical business systems, while simultaneously avoiding IT complexities and a growing accounting team.
