Some of you may have started creating your posters to take part in the Women’s Marches across the nation tomorrow, some of you might be sending your well wishes from afar, and most of you have at least heard the buzzing surrounding the event over the past several years.
Oracle NetSuite supports equality (opens in new tab) and closing the gender gap, so in conjunction with tomorrow’s marches, this episode of “The NetSuite Podcast” comes a few days early.
On this episode, we welcome Diana Dorobek, a NetSuite Senior Sales Director who is making big waves in supporting gender equality and encouraging female empowerment within NetSuite, Silicon Valley and beyond.
Dorobek learned quite a bit throughout the career path that led to her role at NetSuite. Not only was she one of two female sales directors at Advent Software from 1993 to 2006, she also maintained an SVP title at Anybill for three years after that—the only female leader at the company during her tenure.
Fast forward to 2014, Dorobek was hired as the first female exec for NetSuite’s U.S. sales team. Not only has she helped bring on more female leaders since then, she also hosts a quarterly event with NetSuite to help place women in leadership positions across the industry.
Dorobek opens up about her experiences as one of the few female leaders in software sales, how far she thinks the industry has come in reaching gender equality and how we all can help close the gap as we move forward. She also opens up about the ways in which she’s seen NetSuite support gender equality, and how she’s come together with the NetSuite network to help women in finance, tech, Silicon Valley and beyond grow into the leaders the industry needs.
