NetSuite Employees Gear Up to Give Back During 2nd Annual Week of Service

From Oct 17-21, thousands of NetSuite employees from around the world will show their commitment to making a positive impact in their communities during Global Impact Week, NetSuite’s annual week of service.

Global Impact Week gives employees a chance to celebrate ways to give back locally through volunteer service and in-office donation drives.

During last year’s inaugural Global Impact Week, more than 1,000 employees from around the world participated in 78 events, volunteering more than 3,000 hours in a single week.

This year, the goal is for a bigger week of service, with more events and greater participation. NetSuite employees will have the opportunity to participate in dozens of company-sponsored events around the globe. Some events include supporting refugees in Oklahoma City through a food donation drive, sorting clothing and preparing meals for the homeless in Durham, caring for rescue animals in Singapore and making audio books for the blind in Bangkok. Each event is planned and executed by a team of global SuiteImpact ambassadors who volunteer their time to lead their local office activities.  The best part about Global Impact Week is that it highlights NetSuite’s commitment to its local communities by providing employees Volunteer-Time-Off (VTO) for participation, a company benefit that gives every employee 16 hours of paid time to volunteer at a charity they are passionate about.

“After an incredible showing by employees last year, I can’t wait to see the creative ways our employees choose to give back during this year’s event,” said Erin Dieterich, Corporate Citizenship Director for NetSuite.org. “With more than 25 offices and over 5,000 employees, NetSuite has the potential to have an incredible impact in the communities where we live and work.”

Global Impact Week is part of NetSuite’s SuiteImpact program, which engages NetSuite employees around the world in causes and year-round community service projects that matter to them. Since its founding in 2013, more than 6,500 NetSuite employees have volunteered, volunteering for more than 23,000 hours.
