“Sicario: Day of the Soldado (opens in new tab)” producer and actor, Thad Luckinbill (opens in new tab), was born and raised in Oklahoma. He spent his summers working for the family company, digging ditches and carrying cinderblocks alongside his twin brother, Trent.
Now, the brothers are running their own production company, Black Label Media (opens in new tab), alongside Molly Smith, producing and financing some of the biggest projects in Hollywood — “La La Land,” “12 Strong” and most recently “Sicario: Day of the Soldado” (in theaters Friday) to name a few.
Luckinbill also spent a decade behind the camera with recurring roles in shows like “The Young and the Restless,” “8 Simple Rules… For Dating my Teenage Daughter” and HBO’s “Ballers.” He’s also taken on the big screen in films like “12 Strong,” “Just Married” and “Only the Brave.”
