Well, the wait is over at NetSuite. Wednesday May 25th 2011 was SIIA CODiE day, and you might gather from the above picture that yes, we won an award - and a pretty significant one. I was honored to join the awards event, together with fellow NetSuiter's Mei Li (opens in new tab), Mei He (opens in new tab), and Paige Musto (opens in new tab).
If you're not familiar with the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA ), they're a 26-year old industry body devoted to nurturing software innovation and technology. The CODiE Awards hold the distinction of being the industry's only peer-reviewed awards program. The CODiE Awards recognize outstanding achievement and vision in the software and information industry, evaluating software providers across a broad range of categories, including business software, education, and digital content.
Way back in April NetSuite was announced as a finalist in a number of categories, including Best Financial Management Solution, Best Project Management Solution, Best Supply Chain Management Solution, Best Cloud Infrastructure and Best Cloud Platform. And let there be no doubt, we were extremely pleased with this achievement, as getting there is no small effort in itself (I'll share that with you in a moment).
However, at the awards on Wednesday, NetSuite was honored to be named Best Financial Management Solution by the SIIA. This award comes on the heels of being ranked by Gartner in April as the fastest growing top 10 Financial Management System in North America, UK and Australia. However, the CODiE awards, shine a detailed light on the technology of the vendor, and are a clear indication to any prospective buyer that they are investing in the most leading edge, complete and robust technology in that category.
Winning an SIIA CODiE is no small feat. It requires detailed scrutiny by experienced judges and peers. It includes passing 48 review criteria across a series of 10 primary attributes including delivery/implementation, user interface and usability, technology, support, ease of management and much more. Full criteria can be found here. I have to tell you, it's a thorough process, having personally participated throughout the process with the broader NetSuite team. It requires the evaluation of detailed product information and customer success, a comprehensive deep product demonstration, and a quickfire Q&A by seasoned judges, together with an extensive peer voting process. Winning one is a testament to both technology, customer success, and innovation.
This award caps an amazing first half for NetSuite's cloud financial management solution. We reached being deployed by 10,000+ organizations worldwide. At over 100 countries across 190+ currencies. We hosted the largest cloud business management event of its kind, SuiteWorld 2011, and finally, Gartner clocked our rapid market share grow in April.
So all in all, we're pretty pleased! Everyone at NetSuite would like to take this moment to thank the SIIA, the judges and our peers.
