Founded 22 years ago by a Ph.D. candidate who created liquid yeast for his friends that owned a homebrew store, White Labs took off as new yeast strains were available to these enthusiasts. Growth in sales for homebrew yeast soared while professional customers also wanted more options. With a booming craft beer industry spreading across the U.S. and abroad, White Labs was poised for rapid growth but disparate, disconnected systems were holding the company back.
“It would be impossible to continue to grow as we have without NetSuite. We have customer financial, production and manufacturing data all in one place. And we’re still not utilizing everything. ” Kathryn Small, Special Project Manager, White Labs
With Goldmine for CRM, BusinessWorks for acccounting and homegrown systems for manufacturing operations and ecommerce, visibility into the organization was difficult with many inefficient processes. White Labs turned to NetSuite OneWorld for a unified system to manage financials, CRM, manufacturing and international operations after evaluating SAP, Salesforce.com and InfusionSoft.
As part of its NetSuite implementation, White Labs streamlined many of its processes that were previously maintained in Excel spreadsheets, including automated production forecasting for its 200 strains of yeast made in 90 different 430-liter vessels.
White Labs has offices in San Diego and Davis, Calif., Boulder, Colo., Asheville, N.C., Copenhagen, Denmark and Hong Kong, China. The NetSuite dashboards provide easy access to data to ensure superior product quality and trademark customer service.
