We recently sat down with Brian Kilcourse, Managing Partner of retail industry firm RSR Research to discuss some of the key observations uncovered in its study, Commerce Convergence: Closing the Gap Between Online and In-Store.
In this fourth video of our five-part Research Insights series, Kilcourse points out that today’s consumers are entering the store armed with more information in their pockets than sales associates. He advises that if retailers want to be relevant, they need to move beyond their legacy POS system and look at new software that brings the full omnichannel commerce experience into the retail storefront to provide consumers with the highest level of customer service, product knowledge and personalization today’s shoppers expect.
