NetSuite Brings its Cloud to London

Wednesday, October 29, 2014

Posted by Barney Beal, Content Director, NetSuite

NetSuite is mounting its very own ‘British Invasion.’ You need only look at recent acquisitions, earnings reports and customer activity as proof of NetSuite’s strong commitment to the UK market.

While perhaps not in the same league as the 1964 British Invasion of the United States – where the likes of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Who delivered their own takes on American Blues and rock’n’roll to much acclaim stateside -- NetSuite’s ongoing investment across the Pond also represents a meeting of US and UK minds, this time around focused on cloud computing.

Most recently, NetSuite signaled its strong commitment to the UK with the acquisition of Venda and its strong stable of European ecommerce brands, including boohoo.com, Laura Ashley, and TK Maxx. And this really is nothing new. Already, British companies like Trunki, Hailo and Orlebar Brown have turned to NetSuite for flexible and scalable cloud systems that can help transform their businesses. That doesn’t even begin to take into account NetSuite’s continued strong financial performance in Europe, for instance, as discussed in the recent Q3, 2014 earnings. “The UK had another great quarter,” NetSuite CEO Zach Nelson said on the earnings call with financial analysts. “It grew at 100 percent and we’re heading into a very strong Q4.”

SuiteConnect, NetSuite’s largest UK-based user focused event is just the latest step in NetSuite’s ‘British Invasion.’ Appropriately enough, the one-day event will take place at the London Hilton on Park Lane, a venue with its own slice of rock’n’roll history with regular guests having included The Beatles and Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones, who was rumored to have written the riff from ‘Satisfaction’ at the hotel.

NetSuite CEO Nelson will headline the one-day SuiteConnect UK event and you can be sure his keynote, “The Next Disruption: Collision of Products and Services Business,” will include plenty of news on product direction, industry trends, and where NetSuite’s competitors in the region fail to match up. He’ll be joined by NetSuite’s co-founder and CTO Evan Goldberg, analysts from Frost & Sullivan who will be presenting original research at the conference, and NetSuite customers explaining their real-world experiences with cloud ERP.
