ISLABIKES RIDES WITH NETSUITE CLOUD TO ENABLE BUSINESS GROWTH
Children's Bicycle Producer Switches From Sage to NetSuite to Help Support International Expansion
LONDON—4 December, 2013—NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N), the industry's leading provider of cloud-based financials / ERP and omnichannel commerce software suites, today announced that Islabikes (www.islabikes.co.uk), a UK children's bike specialist, has moved its financial systems off of Sage 50 and multiple spreadsheets to NetSuite. Islabikes chose NetSuite's cloud-based solution for its single business platform to manage financials, customer relationship management (CRM), and inventory management, and to ensure scalability for future growth. NetSuite also gives Islabikes employees the flexibility to access the platform anywhere, anytime on any mobile device with an Internet connection when they travel abroad.
Islabikes is a producer of quality aluminium bicycles designed for children aged two to 18. Founded by former Professional Cyclist Isla Rowntree in 2006, every Islabikes bike is customised and assembled on-site in the UK. Before adopting NetSuite, the company struggled to meet customer demand due to its antiquated IT systems, and was forced to limit the number of orders it could process, limiting its growth potential. Financial data often became corrupted within Sage 50 and it could take the team a full day to re-enter the information. By moving to NetSuite’s single cloud-based business suite, the company expects to save hours of staff time by putting a stop to data issues and working from a streamlined dashboard, which can allow users to process orders much faster than before.
NetSuite is the first cloud software solution to deliver real-time business management and financial consolidation to rapidly growing organisations from a single ERP system. With NetSuite, companies are better able to serve their customers through anytime, anywhere access to real-time information on sales, profitability, inventory, suppliers, B2B and B2C customers, and more. NetSuite eliminates the high capital expenditures and ongoing IT maintenance found with in-house systems by moving all processes and information into the secure NetSuite cloud.
"Moving to NetSuite has allowed us to improve communications and transparency across the company," said Isla Rowntree, Founder of Islabikes. "When an order needed to be amended in Sage, a customer representative would have to physically visit the warehouse and shout out the changes to the team before amending it in spreadsheets and the Sage application. Now that NetSuite has solved these problems, we can focus on growing the business rather than worry about the limitations of our core systems."
The company can give NetSuite access to all of its 27 employees, making the solution integral to their day-to-day activity. For example, the bike assemblers can now access real-time information on customer orders directly at their work stations, enabling them to respond to any order changes quickly and efficiently.
Today, more than 16,000 companies and subsidiaries depend on NetSuite to run complex, mission–critical business processes globally in the cloud. Since its inception in 1998, NetSuite has established itself as the leading provider of enterprise–class cloud financials/ERP suites for divisions of large enterprises and mid-sized organisations seeking to upgrade their antiquated client/server ERP systems. NetSuite excels at streamlining business operations as demonstrated in a recent Gartner study naming NetSuite as the fastest growing financial management software vendor on a global basis. NetSuite continues its success in delivering the best cloud ERP/financials suites to businesses around the world, enabling them to lower IT costs significantly while increasing productivity, as the global adoption of the cloud is accelerating.
Islabikes was founded by renowned British bicycle designer Isla Rowntree, one of the few female designers in the industry. The company has singlehandedly redefined the notion of a child’s bicycle with a product unparalleled in its depth of design detail.
