SAN MATEO, CA.—April 6, 2004—NetSuite, Inc., announced today that eWEEK, a Ziff Davis Media publication and one of the IT industry's leading enterprise IT magazines, has named NetSuite 9.0 the winner in the CRM category in eWEEK's Fourth Annual Excellence Awards program. Products such as Microsoft CRM, Siebel On-Demand, and salesforce.com didn't even make it to the finalist list in the CRM category. The Excellence Awards honor the most innovative and relevant enterprise hardware, software and services announced in 2003 and available by the end of the first quarter of 2004. eWEEK evaluators said in bestowing the Excellence Award to NetSuite: "In a crowded field of entrants in the CRM category, NetSuite 9.0 emerged the winner by providing broad value and appeal in a market that is quickly and constantly evolving… The highly customizable interface and easy management won points during judging, as did the availability of graphical summaries of sales data."
NetSuite is the world's most popular on-demand integrated CRM/ERP solution. The eWEEK award is the latest in a string of accolades that NetSuite has received for its technology innovation in on-demand business application suites. In January, NetSuite won the coveted "Willy Award" presented to the Best Hosted CRM Application for 2003 by SellMoreNow.com.
The Fourth Annual eWEEK Excellence Awards program provides enterprise IT professionals with a benchmark for assessing a wide range of technology products and services. Evaluating the entries was a panel of experts including eWEEK Labs analysts and eWEEK Corporate Partners, providing a unique mix of technical and real-world analysis.
"eWEEK is recognized as one of the most trusted technology journals, and it is a great honor that they have named NetSuite the top CRM application of 2004," said Zach Nelson, CEO of NetSuite. "This accolade is another indication that the CRM applications are maturing from simple forecasting tools to real business applications that span order management, e-commerce and back-office functionality."
" This year's Excellence Awards winners show that technology innovation is alive and well in the high tech industry," said Eric Lundquist, Editor-in-Chief, eWEEK. "These winners from companies large and small have shown that by being attuned to the customer's needs, they can design, develop and distribute products that are setting new standards in the enterprise marketplace.
