NetSuite upgrades suite and signs with Star

NetSuite has upgraded its product set to version 10.6, a release that the company claims will significantly speed up application and data access for the end user.

The NetSuite software now has broader support for Ajax (Asynchronous JavaScript and Extensible Markup Language), which means that web pages can update immediately in response to user actions without pages having to completely reload.

"It's a huge performance issue," said NetSuite chief executive Zach Nelson. "You can re-sort a report, create lists and work through them; transactions that might have taken five seconds are instantaneous."

The software has a new feature called Netflex, which lets companies custom-build their user interface by combining elements of different NetSuite applications. NetSuite version 10.6 also integrates with Microsoft Office.

At the same time, NetSuite has announced a partnership with Star Internet to jointly sell and market NetSuite, and NetSuite CRM+with NetSuite initially providing implementation services and customer support.

"With this partnership, NetSuite will be able to expand its offering to more medium-sized businesses," said Dean Mansfield, Senior VP of Sales Worldwide for NetSuite. "Star is a trusted supplier to thousands of organisations within the UK."
