Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Consultant with 5+ years experience to work in the Strategic Services group.  This hands-on development position requires heavy interaction with customers, application developers and NetSuite implementation teams. 

This individual will be a part of the team that scopes, designs, develops and deploys custom solutions for our customers using the SuiteFlex platform.

This position reports to the Practice Manager ( San Mateo) in the Strategic Services Group.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A strong technical background, experience in system architecture, object-oriented design, web frameworks and patterns.
  • At least 3 years of developing and maintaining Java/J2EE applications with a Relational Database backend (Oracle preferred).
  • Experience developing web applications using JSP/Servlets, DHTML, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
  • Experience with IDEs, source control systems, unit-testing tools and defect management tools.
  • Proficiency in error resolution and debugging.
  • Good knowledge of and hands-on experience with XML/XSL and Web Services (UDDI, SOAP, WSDL).
  • Proficiency with the application integration layer and customization environment of at least one major ERP or CRM application:
    • SAP - ABAP, BAPI
    • Oracle - Open Interface Tables, PL/SQL
    • Siebel - escript
    • SalesForce.com – APEX
Ability to write detailed technical design/specification documents.

General responsibilities include:

  • Mentor offshore developers through the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Clarify user requirements via interview and analysis.  
  • Architect, design and develop custom solutions using the NetSuite SuiteFlex platform.
  • Produce system design documents and participate in technical walkthroughs.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing.
  • Track and report project progress to appropriate parties using MS Office, MS Project and Visio.
  • Assist in pre-sales activities including technical validation and scoping/estimation.

Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree in mathematics, computer science or engineering is preferred.
  • At least 2 years experience at either a Big 5 consulting firm or in the professional services organization of a major business applications vendor.
