Job Description:

NetSuite is looking for a developer to work on a growing team which designs and implements major features for our Web Services Platform Interface. You will own and be responsible for a critical pillar of NetSuite growth — the ability to expose NetSuite as a programmable interface for customers and third party developers. You will build high-performance, scalable and easy to work with systems that utilize the latest in open source Web Services standards and tools. You will develop our core API which is used by hundreds of third party developers, and thousands of customers, and improve the underlying application. NetSuite greatly values developer creativity and initiative, and provides freedom to contribute your own ideas and research your projects.

You must be a disciplined and organized thinker with superior communication and architecture skills who can effectively work with other developers, QA and product managers. You must be an elite coder that is comfortable working in and troubleshooting a very large code base, and must be an especially quick learner. You must be a self-starter who welcomes responsibility for mission critical production code. You must also be one who enjoys working hard to see our customer and partner developers succeed — a "coder's coder".

Requirements:

• B.S. in computer engineering or equivalent
• 8 years software development experience
• 5 years experience with Java or C/C++
• Strong SQL database experience
• Work in a high performance and/or highly scalable environment
• Superior communication skills

Recommended:

• Experience with Web Services and Web Services toolkits such as Apache Axis, .NET, NuSoap, etc
• Experience developing platforms or APIs for use by other developers
• Some accounting or growing business experience
• Experience with javascript
