Job Description:

NetSuite is looking for a developer to work on a growing team that designs and implements major features for our hosted e-commerce platform, web site building tools, and intranet publishing system. You will own and be responsible for features and capabilities that will be utilized by millions of online visitors in thousands of ecommerce sites. You will build high-performance, scalable systems that utilize advanced caching techniques and sophisticated content delivery technologies. You will develop new capabilities from top to bottom including end-user setup UI, online shopping UI, core technologies for page generation and media delivery, caching systems, monitoring tools, Web analytics, and design the underlying database models. You will also work on intranet publishing, content management, information sharing technologies such as wikis and feeds, and dashboards. You will have a lot of freedom to contribute your own creative ideas and research to your projects.

You must be an organized thinker with superior communication and design skills who can effectively work with other developers, QA and product managers. You must be an outstanding, prolific coder and a quick learner. You must be a self-starter with a strong prioritization skills, and be one who consistently take initiative and demonstrates responsibility. You must be one who enjoys working hard and working prolifically because you take pride in developing software that will be used by millions of people and you insist on excellence in your work.

Requirements:

• B.S. in computer engineering or equivalent
• 8 years software development experience
• 5 years experience with Java or C++
• Strong SQL database experience
• HTML, Javascript, CSS experience
• Understanding of HTTP, Internet protocols, Web browsers
• Web server experience (e.g. Apache)
• Superior communication skills

Recommended:

• Some accounting or growing business experience
• Experience with ecommerce systems and online shopping
• Experience with search engines, spidering and web analytics
