Employee Resource Management

NetSuite's employee resource management (ERM) capabilities automate and centralize employee management and self service while optimizing your investment in employees. NetSuite enables collaboration and reduces administrative overhead, allowing improved productivity and reduced costs. NetSuite ERM capabilities include:

  • Employee Self Service
Through the NetSuite Employee Center, NetSuite integrates employee management with other company systems, including accounting/ERP. Employees can also manage their expense reports, make purchase requests, and track time and billing. NetSuite also delivers powerful group calendaring capabilities.
  • Managerial Self Service
Through the manager's version of the Employee Center, managers are alerted when their employees submit expense reports or purchase requests, and through a one-click approval process move the report or request to finance or payroll. Managers can create standing meetings through NetSuite's calendaring facility, keep track of employee review schedules, and use the secure features of the File Cabinet to record performance reviews and other sensitive data.
  • Human Resources Management
HR professionals can use NetSuite to set up a corporate intranet to publish content such as directories of corporate policies, benefits information, and corporate holidays, and easily maintain and publish corporate employee directories.
  • Time Tracking
OnSite Technologies TimeTrack for NetSuite provides enterprise-level time and attendance tracking for users who may not have access to NetSuite or a computer. Suitable for employee-dense locations with high-traffic requirements, TimeTrack for NetSuite allows punch-in and punch-out activities through a local, non-Web-based interface or via a biometric device (fingerprint or hand-clock device). Seamlessly integrated with NetSuite employee time-tracking components, TimeTrack supports highly customizable NetSuite time-entry forms with full auditing and roll-up to reporting and payroll within NetSuite.
  • Collaborative Document Management
NetSuite document management capabilities allow you to organize and store content by employee, client or project, or on an aggregate basis. Private documents are secured, while collaborative documents enable group editing, sharing and management. You can also publish any type of document on the corporate intranet and externally to the corporate Web site or NetSuite's Client and Partner Centers. NetSuite stores content in a central File Cabinet where you can set up shared folders and sub-folders.

By storing documents in a centralized location, rather than on widely scattered employee computers, you can restrict access as appropriate by employee, role, client, project or department. Employees with the necessary rights can then access and edit stored documents from any location. Document security is enhanced as The File Cabinet automatically logs when the file is modified and by whom, enhancing document security and maintaining a complete audit trail.
