In attempting to overcome poverty in 19 Latin American countries, TECHO needed a technology platform that could manage its growing complexity. Separate accounting systems in the countries it was operating in meant TECHO didn’t have the visibility into finance and operations it needed to be a transparent NGO for all audiences, a critical organizational philosophy as it seeks to overcome the situation of poverty in which millions of people live in informal settlements in Latin America.

“NetSuite.org has been a tremendous help. Without the discount, we’d probably still have 20 accounting applications and continue losing revenue opportunities.” TECHO
With NetSuite OneWorld, TECHO has the transparency and efficiency it needs to deliver on its mission, and at half the cost of competing solutions. TECHO implemented NetSuite in seven countries in 2016 through a collaborative, three-month process, with the entire 20 countries the organization operates in expected to follow shortly thereafter.
OneWorld enabled TECHO to reduce its semi-annual financial close from four or five months to just 10 days. Having a fast process and accurate information gives TECHO the chance to make more and better decisions and make better use of resources.
With a single instance of NetSuite, the international office has comprehensive visibility into all of TECHO's offices, laying the groundwork for a big data initiative, boosting transparency and strengthening the link with stakeholders, encourages participation.
