Diversification fuels growth
Steadily expanding the chemicals and materials the company distributes to include paint, inks, plastics, lubricants, petroleum catalyst and powdered metallurgy industries, GE Chaplin has relied on a technically experienced sales staff to expand and become a global importer/exporter with three warehouses in the United States.
QuickBooks, Fishbowl fall short
As the company diversified its product line, it also expanded its supplier network around the globe. Tracking inventory at five domestic warehouses and multiple international 3PLs using spreadsheets and Fishbowl software, while using QuickBooks to manage financials, quickly became a nightmare.
Global, real-time inventory management
GE Chaplin selected NetSuite over SAP and implemented it with assistance from NetSuite partner, Providence Consulting Group. With NetSuite, GE Chaplin has improved its raw materials processing and achieved real-time inventory management at 3PL warehouses across the globe.
