Summary:
Reporting to the Content Director, the Senior Writer is responsible for writing bylined articles for NetSuite, and blog posts on the corporate blog demonstrating thought leadership in the industry, editing and helping fellow corporate bloggers clearly and concisely articulates the company's message and authoring white papers illustrating customer success stories.

The Content Development Director contributes to PR messaging and strategy and works in coordination with senior executives to help the company engage with existing and prospective customers as well as the market in general. Other responsibilities include: helping to foster brand recognition; engaging with customers, prospects and industry thought leaders on social media channels; and developing best practices for creating, editing, distributing, and publishing content.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with key executives providing strategic communications, including general corporate and product positioning and messaging.
  • Executive communications and presentations.
  • Analyst relations interactions, regarding upcoming reports and creating marketing communications materials and press releases based on the reports.
  • Work alongside with other departments such as HR to create communications materials.
  • Press releases and bylines.
  • Draft customer success stories when needed.
  • Edit Web content as needed.
  • Author communication in both long-form and short, breaking content.
  • Responsible for creating concepts and writing for NetSuite’s blog.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism or Communications
  • 10+ years of focused writing experience, editing and publishing in corporate communications preferably in software, energy, or technology companies with an eye toward journalistic practices that speak first to the customer in the publishing industry.
  • A thorough understanding of enterprise software and cloud computing spaces and a genuine interest in technology.
  • Familiarity with Web analytics.
  • Experience with SEO best practices.
  • Ability to develop and engage an audience via social media channels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and on deadline.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; works well within a team.
