General and Administrative: Director of Sales Finance (San Mateo, CA)

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our FP&A team. This individual will report to the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. This individual will have experience supporting a Sales organization including, but not limited to, revenue and deferred revenue forecasting, commissions modeling, development and reporting of sales metrics, headcount/expense management, backlog and pipeline analysis. This role also includes partnering with senior Sales management and Sales Operations, as well as managing FP&A resources in both San Mateo and the Philippines. To be successful in this role, you will need strong analytical and system skills, as well as the ability to think strategically about the direction of the Company's Sales organization. You will have the ability to understand the big picture of the Company's Sales model, while also being very detail-oriented. An ideal candidate will have experience at a mid- to large-sized public company, preferably in the software industry or at a company with a subscription model.


  • Partner with senior Sales management and Sales Operations to provide decision support and value added analysis
  • Own the Company's revenue and deferred revenue forecasting process
  • Lead the annual Sales planning process including developing bookings targets, quota setting, resource allocation, and expense planning
  • Monthly and quarterly revenue, sales expense and sales metrics reporting
  • Coordinate preparation of management reporting for quarterly Earnings releases
  • Ad hoc financial modeling and analysis as needed
  • Manage a team of 4 to 5 resources in San Mateo and Manila


  • BS in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • MBA or CPA a plus
  • Cloud or software experience preferred
  • Minimum 10–15 years finance/accounting experience, with at least 7–10 years in FP&A roles
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with senior Sales management
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are a must
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with NetSuite and Adaptive Planning a plus
